I have a 1997 SAAB 2.3 900 AUTO CONVERTIBLE (see pic) With full cream leather interior.

120K.

Engine and Gearbox are sweet and spot on.

Sports mode is great - really puts the power down and very resposive.

It's not bad on petrol, I do a lot of motorway and long distance driving so economical enough. Round town it's not so bad, depending how you drive.

Pleasure to drive, handles superbly and takes corners well, sticks to the road like glue.

It has its faults from time to time but thats part of its character and I wouldnt swap it for anything else.

Insurance not too bad depending how you look at it, not looking forward to my renewal though.

Just sat on a beach in Nidri,Lefkas,Greece at the moment with a cold beer ! Everywhere has wifi and my iPhone is brilliant. Got the email telling me about this site and was registered within 2 minutes. Good Luck with the new forum and I also hope it becomes as successful as SS !

Anyway, after hiring a Punto Grande I realised how much I am missing my 2003 93ss Aero in Black with full leather parchment, BSR stage 1, dual exhaust and Koni FSD with Hirsch springs. I've owned her for over 5 years and have just short of 109k on her. Still runs as sweet as a nut although recently my SAI pump has given up the ghost !

I'll add a couple of pics when I get home !! ( of the Aero...not the beach)!

2010 93 Carlsson for a few more weeks, just cannot afford 25 mpg any longer, replaced with bmw 330 derv, sad to go, didn't get a ttid as i cannot rely on the fact that Saab won't do a rover, particularly with the Chinese involved :'(

Another vote for Fusion Blue...9-3SW 2.8T Aero Hirsch.  And then there's the 9-5 Aero "almost stage 4 and a bit", the 96V4 and the 900 T16S track hack that many of you are familiar with.
